The transfer time from Madeira International Airport (FNC) to the city centre, where the main hotels are located, is approximately 20 minutes by bus.

How to Get There

Visitors from countries in the European Union that are members of the Schengen Treaty are granted unrestricted entry to Portugal. Citizens of countries not part of this agreement must present an identification document. International visitors are required to carry a valid passport, and in some cases, a visa might be necessary. There are no vaccination requirements to enter Portugal.

Customs Formalities

Products leaving the island are not subject to limitations. However, if a quantity appears excessive, customs authorities may request proof that the items are intended for personal use.
